Hello, all! I'm maintaining a central sales post on my ElJay for ease of editing and keeping things in one place. I have bottles and imps, LE and GC, all sorts of goodies to be found, and I include freebies with every shipment! Links for each scent lead to the review section at bpal.org, and I do my best to include a notes list with the non-BPAL items. My feedback post is over here (with a link to my bpal.org feedback), and my wish list is right here.

Necessary Stuff: Shipping is $3.75 within the US (includes DC). Please buy at least $8.00 worth of stuff pre-shipping. LET ME KNOW if you want insurance; I will not be responsible for uninsured packages. I accept CC and non-CC PayPal, but PLEASE do mark your payment for goods and services. I very much appreciate that people want to save me PayPal fees, but I generate my US postage through there and have anxiety about them putting payments and shipments together and saying WAITACOTTONPICKINMINIT. X-D If you feel flush enough to throw a little extra in for fees, I will gladly accept, but of course there's no requirement.

If label condition is a concern for any items, please let me know in your request. If you want to buy or swap but don't have or want to make a livejournal account, please either PM me on bpal.org (I'm karihan) or email me at karihan (dot) chris (at) gmail (dot) com.

FOR MY INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: I will ship internationally, but please contact me for a quote. Since USPS has decided to raise its international rates so high, I've decided to offer two shipping options: One is for my usual sort of package, where I've added candies, teas, and other little extras. The other is for a package pared down to just the purchased items plus requested free sniffy. My free sniffies vary somewhat in weight; I'll let you know if the one you pick is heavier than the usual. I'll give you the total for each option and the difference between the two, so that you can decide whether you'd prefer the shipping savings or the extras.

NOTE ON BOTTLE FULLNESS: I measure the oil levels of my bottles in millimeters. For comparison, from bottom to where the shoulder starts on a standard BPAL bottle is 30mm and the neck starts at about 32mm. I include the to-neck measurement as well for any bottle that doesn't fit that measurement. For those who would rather not do math, I've also included an estimate of "how full" based on the mm measurement. If you'd like to see a photo of any of my items, let me know which ones and I'll be happy to provide. Of course I can also provide pictures of labels, if you want to see what state those are in.

Newly added items are in Bold.

In fact, many of the GCs are as I received them from the Lab, untouched and even unopened. The others were either opened only to sniff or tested cleanly with a tiny dab. Please let me know if you care about label condition, as some have been rolled and others are slightly marked. All are legible unless marked otherwise. Please buy at least $7.00 worth (pre-shipping) to make it worth the packaging. 8^)

Nom Nom Nom (5ml LE, 29mm, full to a hair below shoulder), $11.00
"Lots of thick dark sugary goodness here. Just a hint of spice, but it's sort of an indefinable spice like a new and exotic clove which you just can't quite put your finger on. Lashings of liquified brown sugar heat it all up and in the end you have a very hawt melange of foody lovers goodness."

O Dancing Coração (5ml LE, 32mm, full to neck), $11.00
"Strong cocktail fruits of coconut and passionfruit and more, mix with skin musk to make the scent of love in the Southern Equator. This one has a big effect on the opposite sex. Almost too inviting, almost too real. This is where fruit crosses the line into animal. Breathtaking, daring. Supremely sexy and supremely creative."

Passion (5ml, 33mm, full into neck), $11.00
"A supersaturated chocolate solution of chocolated chocolate with a smooth chocolate interior and a chocolate shell covered in chocolate sauce and floating in a puddle of chocolate. All manner of chocolate in one place and that place is heaven."

The Ruined Reputation (5ml LE, 33mm, full into neck), $11.00
"A work of intense sophistication, very dry and very chic. The Ruined Reputation starts out as a strong part of spice and carnation and then slides into a wonderful almost foggy crystal musk. It is ravishing and a bit dangerous, too!"

Temptation (5ml LE, 32mm, full), $11.00
"A beautiful blend of osmanthus, violet, cream musk, and a bit of a very unusual apple essence. A stunning combination of the borderline foody with the deeply perfumy. Floral, fruity, creamy."

Titanium White, $1.50
"Titanium White is white tropical flowers on a white sheet with white sunlight streaming into the interior. White snow playing outside your windowpane as you sit on a white silk tufted pillow drinking fragrant Chinese white tea out of tissue-thin white porcelain cups. The many facets of white. Characteristics: crisp, cooling, summer scent, dry, perfumy."

Victory, $1.50
"This is a simple and straightforward fragrance which concentrates on fighting fatigue while keeping you alert and motivated to get to the next level. Thyme and sage, lemongrass and light camphor, a bit of rosemary, and the lightest hint of white sharp amber to keep it all knit together without being dulling."

Western Hills, $1.50
"Western Hills is a sweet but daring rendition of that part of Cincinnati. Like the real thing, it's sporty, foody, rich and robust but with a heartbreaking familiarity like what you feel when you go home again. Characteristics: foody, sporty, cutting edge, unisex."

Starring Fragrances:

Villainess (10ml, about 1/2 full), $11.00
"She schemes and plots in her den of black vanilla beans, Tonka vanilla and whispered rumors of resinous sultry sugar!"

"Dr. Zomg's favorite ... she makes hers with sweet cherry fruit, bitter cherry pits, grapefruit rind, galangal root, geranium leaf, grains of paradise, and brandy."

Lovely Lady Lovelace, (5ml LE, 33mm, full into neck), $14.50
"Heliotrope, white musk, and dainty touches of honey, lavender and vanilla: a throughly delicate and refined fragrance."

Spacebat (5ml, 19mm w/neck at 31mm, about 2/3 full), $9.50
"Cave stone and memorial myrrh lifted by nutmeg and delicate leather wings."

Yellowcake Uranium (5ml LE, 40mm, extremely full), $15.00
"It's a supple lemon-curdy lemon cake, with a bit of black tea and some Slavic spice to make it feel at home: pitchblende was first identified in what's now the Czech Republic."

Sniffies -- one free per purchase, first ask first served. BPAL/BPTP: Bedbug, Black Pearl, Dawn: Mother, Envy, Independent, Kabuki, L'Examen de Minuit, Maiden, Okayaki, Phantom, Strawberry Lemon Drop Candy Cane. Possets: Cootie. Villainess: Sol Bacio. NON-PERFUME ITEMS:
As with my perfume oils, I am willing to consider swap and swap/sale offers for all these items, as well as other price suggestions. Shipping may vary according to the weight of the item, but I have a postage scale for accurate quotes. DVDs, books and magazines can be shipped via media mail if that's all you're getting. PM me or email karihan (dot) chris (at) gmail (dot) com if you have any questions or would like additional pictures. ^_^ And my apologies if the shrunk-down pictures are difficult to see. Just click on a pic to see it full size.

THE CELTIC TAROT SET, $25.00: This Tarot deck is filled with the gorgeous, intricate work of well-known Celtic illuminator and artist Courtney Williams. I got my set used off of eBay, but everything is in excellent condition. The box shows some traces of shelf wear, but nothing major. The book has a tiny nick above the title, and the cards look like they've never been shuffled. There is a faint amount of discoloration at the bottom of The Star, but I can't find any other issues with the card faces. If you want pictures of any specific cards, let me know and I'll provide them.

DVDS: I'm culling my DVD collection as well as my perfume oils, so I'll add to these as I find new ones to sell. They still have all the discs and supplementary materials they came with.

The Two Towers Extended Version set, $10.00: I'm not sure how I wound up with two copies of this one, but let my goof be your gain. The box has a few traces of very minor shelf wear; the discs have never been played, aside from disc one being put in a player to check function.

My Cousin Vinny, $4.00 This disc has also never been played except to check function. The clamshell insert has a wee bit of wear, but the packaging is otherwise fine.

COILING GIZMO WITH PROJECT BOOKLET, $12.00: The Coiling Gizmo makes forming tightly-wound coils of wire for jewelry easy! You can use it either held in one hand or clamped to a table with a C-clamp to have both hands free. The included booklet, "Coiled Wire Beads & Jewlery," gives easy-to-follow directions for using the Gizmo to make many kinds of coiled beads, beaded beads, fiber-wrapped beads, wire-wrapped beads, coiled spring links and other coil shapes, as well as showing how to assemble your creations into finished pieces of jewelry. I even plan to make coiled-wire Christmas decorations this year. ^_^

SCENT BOTTLE PENDANT, $50.00 obo: I bought a unakite and sterling silver scent bottle pendant from Offerings Jewelry some months ago, but I've never worn it. It is 3 inches (7.5cm) from the top of the bail to the bottom tip of the bottle. The other stones are a moonstone and a mother-of-pearl flower with a peridot center. Offering's stamp "sajen" and a sterling silver stamp show on the back band. The sterling cap is a little loose, but the unakite cap fits snugly. Click on the pics to see full-size versions:

I paid $50 originally. For that price, I will include a necklace to wear it on, either a sterling snake chain or a beaded strand of my own creation to match, design details to be worked out with the purchaser, plus a set of matching earrings! I can also include the pendant, with or without necklace, in a swap or swap/sale. If you'd like to see a few other strands of beads I've strung, you can check them out here and here.

Hi!

I have a bottle of Arcana's Blood Orange LN that was cleanly decanted out of and has about two imps' worth left. I figure it's not worth sitting in my closet being unused, and from your wishlist it looked like it was high priority to you. I know this one is hard to find, so you may have more interest in it than I do. I also have a bottle of ZOMG's Three Blossom Cupcake that I got from an Ajevie circle that is half-full. Are you interested in either one?

(Since I'm looking to destash, just throwing these out there: I have full bottles of Arcana's Chai, Sweet Milk and Cheesecake SNs, and half-bottles of ZOMG's Tasty Canadian, Cinnamon Bearhug, and Kahlua Caramel Truffle from the same release that all go unloved, sadly.)

Let me know if we could work a swap out!

ETA: Just wanted to mention I have feedback on bpal.org, but as that's not able to be accessed at the moment I also have an eBay account where I have sold BPALs.

Hello! I'm interested in your Nocturne Alchemy Egyptian Black Raspberry ($14)- how much would shipping be to the UK? Thankyou!
kariquirks
Jul. 13th, 2014 05:22 pm (UTC)
Hiya! Shipping to the UK would be $6.55 for 2 ounces or less, which should be the weight of a pared-down package with the bottle and a free sniffy, or $9.45 for 2.01-4 ounces, which would be the same package with some little extras added. So your total would be $20.55 for the first and $23.45 for the second, to go to cryscal (dot) creations (at) gmail (dot) com. ^_^

Good morning! I'm interested in your bottle of Pahoehoe if you still have it? Can you give me shipping estimates to Canada? I may also swipe one of your sniffies, once I can decide. :)
kariquirks
Jul. 23rd, 2014 05:54 pm (UTC)
Hello! Yes, Pahoehoe is still available. USPS shipping to Canada is fortunately not quite as crazy as shipping to the rest of the world. The cost is $7.65 for 2.01-4oz, which is where most of my packages with extras fall. The lowest bracket is $6.25 for under 2oz, but I may not be able to keep the weight in that bracket even with just the bottle and a sniffy.

If you want to try for the lowest bracket, let me know which sniffy you'd like and I'll let you know if it's doable, in which case your total would be $24.25. If $7.65 is fine with you, your total will of course be $25.65 for bottle, sniffy and goodies. My PayPal address is cryscal (dot) creations (at) gmail (dot) com. Let me know what works, and thanks for looking! ^_^

But of course! Those two bottles certainly qualify for my half-off international shipping, so your cost would be $3.83 for a package without extras and $4.40 with extras. So just a 57 cent difference.

So your total would come to $47.83 or $48.40, to go to cryscal (dot) creations (at) gmail (dot) com. Just let me know which you choose! And you can also pick a free sniffy from my list, if you like. ^_^

I would love to purchase BPAL Comforting Plush Companion. I'm having a tough time deciding on H&E's Red Velvet and Spirit without the old style forum that had reviews we could find easily.

You wouldn't happen to have a link to a place that people post reviews on H&E, would you? If not, I'm going to try and so a focused search on the forum and see if I can find it under "other companies you love".

Thank you!

Hiya! Comforting Plush Companion is all yours. I've been hunting through HaEE reviews on evil_enablers and elsewhere, but I haven't found any for Red Velvet and Spirit. But I can certainly give you my impressions!

Red Velvet is foody, as is to be expected, but the sandalwood and amber give it an extra dimension, a soft, resiny but not smoky sweetness mixing with the cocoa, cake and frosting. It's foody with a delicate touch of incense threading through it, delicious and intriguing at the same time.

Spirit is another sweet scent, but not quite as foody (at least on my skin) as Red Velvet. The sandalwood comes more to the fore in this one, along with a gentle spice from the cardamom. The sugar, buttercream and coconut form a smooth sweetness in which none of the three dominate. To me it's a very uplifting scent, in keeping with the name.

I hope that helps. Let me know if you want them in addition to the CPC, and I'll get you a total. Feel free to check out my free sniffy list too!

Hello there! I was wondering about the BPAL Egg Nog Latte. I have the plain Egg Nog and it drives my boyfriend wild - and we are looking for more of it, I was wondering how different the Egg Nog Latte is? I assume it might have a coffee note to it perhaps? Also what would the total including shipping to Australia be if we do decide to take it?
kariquirks
Jan. 28th, 2015 08:26 am (UTC)
Hiya! Since I also own a bottle of the '07 version of Egg Nog, I was able to give the two a side-by-side sniff comparison. Egg Nog Latte does indeed have a coffee note, one that blends well with the creamy-sweet nog rather than overwhelming it. My nose detects the same touch of nutmeg that's in the original Egg Nog. The brandy and rum notes, while still present in Latte, are more in the background than they are in Egg Nog.

As for shipping to your neck of the woods, USPS charges $9.45 for anything between 2 and 4 ounces, which is where most of my packages fall. I do offer half-off international shipping for purchases $30 and over, if there are other items you might be interested in. Hope the info helps, and thanks for looking!

I do indeed! I think Priority Mail would be the safest way to ship this item, if you're okay with $5.25 shipping. The bottle fits comfortably in a small Priority box. First Class would probably be around $4.00, and the postal people might insist on Priority for a gurgley bottle of liquid anyway.
